De-Risk AI with Information Architecture Foundations
Let’s face it, AI is the riskiest technology ever invented. Simple unreliability and bad output is just the start. There’s copyright infringement, ethics and compliance violations, bias, bad publicity, erosion of your brand, to say nothing of AI’s adverse impact on the environment, labor, and even democracy.
How can you trust your critical data to a risky technology that is designed to just make shit up?
Well, the news is not all bad. There are strategics and techniques you can use to mitigate risk, while still reaping the benefits of artificial intelligence. Remedies can be found in a design discipline that’s been around for centuries: Information Architecture.
In this talk, we’ll see real-world examples of how major organizations are using AI’s powers for good by building robust and flexible IA foundations. We’ll also introduce our AI risk-reduction framework to help IA-focused organizations better withstand the risks AI poses.
