The Design Spurt - even faster than a sprint!
At Antea Group Netherlands, 1,800 proud engineers and consultants work with the ambition to help our clients better and more efficiently with sustainable solutions. Together, we build a safe, healthy and future-proof living environment every day. You’ll find the very best specialists in the Netherlands here, as well as innovative solutions in the fields of data, sensing and IT. We conduct research, design, calculate, organise and are involved in the realisation of projects. This could be the integration of a bridge, road or nature reserve — but just as easily a concept to make a residential area climate-neutral.
We develop digital solutions that help in smarter and faster ways. We use the Design Sprint for major and complex challenges, but a full Design Sprint isn’t always feasible - especially since we sometimes develop multiple innovations per week!
So how do we approach this? Doing nothing is not an option! We want to think about the problem, consider the solution, and test it with users. That’s why we’ve developed a super-fast version of the Design Sprint: the Design Spurt! We’ve managed to condense the first three days of the Design Sprint into a single day. The first Spurts were a bit rough around the edges, but we now have a version that really works for us! Curious to see how our Spurt works and whether it’s something for you? Then be sure to join the Design Spurt session!
About
I’m Matthijs Schonewille. After 20 enjoyable years as a full stack web developer, I’ve now been working as a UX/UI designer for over 10 years. Through Unit4 and Visma, I’m currently employed as a UX architect at Antea Group. My development experience greatly supports me in my role as a UX specialist. I’m also a big fan of the Design Sprint and love contributing to a better, cleaner and more sustainable Netherlands. I live in Ede with my family and our dog Loki, and you might spot me in the woods - either hiking or on my mountain bike.
